Access Statement For Squirrels Self Catering Accommodation
Our Self Catering Accommodation is ground floor and non smoking. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to phone.
Complimentary tea, coffee and milk is supplied for arrival.
We have a basic website.
Bookings/enquiries can be made via thenewforest.co.uk website on line, or email and by telephone.
The nearest bus stop is at entrance to private road 500 meters from accommodation.
The nearest railway station is 3 miles away at Sway. There are accessible taxi numbers at the station.
We can arrange for as a basic shop to be delivered on arrival by request, for a small fee plus costs.
We can provide information in large print on request.
The nearest RADAR toilets are in either Lymington or New Milton 3 miles in either direction from accommodation.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
There is ample parking in driveway - 1 space designated solely for your use, 10 meters from front entrance.
Car parking space is on the level but driveway is sloping with shingle surface.
There is no street parking.
The front entrance has one step 20cm high, 45cm deep, 90cm wide plus threshold 13cm high. The door is a sliding patio door 80cm wide opening
Speed ramps in private road leading to accommodation plus reflectors on name board and at entrance to drive. Automatic censored light over entrance
Dining Room, & Lounge
Entrance 80cm wide leads directly into open plan lounge/diner plus galley kitchen.
Square table when both leaves in use. Legs on each corner when leaves not in use. 60cm floor to lowest point 120cm in diameter when both leaves in use 75cm high.
Table is easily moved making more space all round. 4 dining chairs with padded seats no arms.
Flooring is short piled carpet to lounge/diner, vinyl to kitchen area.
Furniture is moveable and all non-feather.
One double sofa bed and one easy chair with arms.
TV provided with remote control CD/DVD Player with remote control plus radio and tape deck.
There is no separate laundry but there is a standard front loading washing machine provided in the kitchen plus airer.
Door width 75cm
Double bed provided 4'6"wide height 52cm from floor to top of mattress.
Non feather duvets and pillows provided plus polycotton duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases
Bed is movable if more space required to one side.
Bathroom & WC
Short hallway giving privacy from both bedroom and lounge to bathroom, doorway 75cm wide.
Doorway to bathroom 75cm wide.
Bath with thermostatically controlled shower over (flexible hose).
Bath height 50cm.
Toilet seat 41cm - raised seat with hand rails available on request.
Flooring is vinyl.
Good colour contrast between floor walls and furniture
Kitchen is open plan with door to garden 68cm wide with 13cm threshold plus 1 step down 90cm wide, 45cm deep, 5cm high.
Oven and hob are work top height, drop down door can be accessed from side.
Sink is 90 cm high with cupboards underneath.
Flooring is vinyl.
At least 113cm free space between works tops.
Evenly lit with covered fluorescent tube.
Good contrast between floor cupboards and other surfaces.
Fridge under worktop with small freezer compartment.
Grounds and Gardens
Small garden fully enclosed mainly grassed slight slope but level raised decking for picnic table and chairs.
Information folder is produced in size 14 font.
Good mobile phone reception.
There is a refuge area in case of fire by side of garage.
Please let owners know if you are unlikely to hear fire alarm.
The accommodation is non smoking, smoke alarm fitted in lounge, fire blanket provided.
Small well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement.
